Heat shield rattle
Heat shield rattle
Has anybody had there heat shield that covers the exhaust come loose and rattle?There sounds like a rattle right above where the dp and catback meet.

Yes. Mine came loose. All I did was find some screws and screw it back on through the rivet holes. 
I Still get a little rattle, so I am going to get some rubber gromets to put inbetween the heat shield and undercarraige.

I found that it was the heat shield right by where the DP comes off the headers, up high in the chassis. I just bent it back about 1/4inch with a set of pliers and I was good to go.

i have a TurboXS downpipe and it rests on the shield and rattles as well. i found that if you shift the entire exhaust over to the left if you're looking it it from the rear of the car it tends to help. but every so often it still rattles. tempting to just take the heat shield off altogether considering it makes an obnoxious knocking sound
