I have the Fujita F5, loud as ****, and 3" wide. Widest of the mainstream intakes I believe. Dunno if you can still get it though.

i used to have the AEM .... produces great sound, but you cant see it in the engine bay. i switched to the Rebel 3" stainless intake, sounds great .... plus it looks great under the hood. All intakes produce similar sound. Some are a tad louder than others, and i mean only a tad. Its all in what you want to spend. If you are only doing it for sound just do the air box mod. No use spending $200+ if you don't care about looks or performance gain. The air box mod will scream, plus give you a little boost in performance for only the cost of a high flow air filter.

I was the same as you, I wanted it for sound. While other are larger in diameter, I went with the K&N because of their good reputation with intake.

Zzp 3"

$200

...or wait for the OTT 3" as it will probably be competitively priced...

the k&n will be a tad louder because the filter flows better than the stock paper filter, but it will still be louder than stock.

Well, I just installed a SC kit on my 2009 Pontiac G5 GT 2.2 LAP.

I am very interested in the CAI. The problem is, when I was installing the stock air duct on my car since I have active handling I have the brake module with all of the lines there and I couldn't get it fastened on the TB. I had to take the TB off and then clamp on the tube and then bolt the TB on.

How close is the air duct on the stock SS to those brake lines?

The ZZP pipe is not very good looking with that big weld there. Even if I were to powdercoat it that weld would stick out like a sore thumb.
