Pulls a lot harder. :) betterthanbad 04-22-2006, 04:25 PM What gear feels the most different? How does the whine sound? Is it harder to not boost under normal driving conditions? Does max speed in each gear change much? cracked 04-22-2006, 04:31 PM 2nd gear pulls hardest, and also where you notice the most difference. normal driving is a little trickier to stay below boost. The car is a lot more responsive now too, S/C is a lot louder, and i dont even have a CAI. think that might have to be next. Raised the rev limit to 7000 i believe and it pulls hard right to the end of that. didnt pay attention to how much faster that works out to. I'll watch next time i go out JMAc88 04-22-2006, 09:16 PM Ya, another member bites the dust. not matter what anyone says i think stage 2 was worth the money. Congrats, get the cai, sounds great. I think I would look for 3" exhaust though, 2.5" is not big enough for that much power. Plus, the stock gm exhaust is so weird, different sizes etc. Leafy 04-23-2006, 05:04 PM Nice, good to hear good news about it... if only it was cheaper.;) Jekyl 04-23-2006, 05:11 PM 120mph in 3rd!!! Plus, the stock gm exhaust is so weird, different sizes etc. I did the math on one of those gears plus rpm plus wheel size calculators, and 3rd pulls to 113 mph. which is plenty for the 1/4mile hatrickstu 04-23-2006, 05:11 PM who said stage 2 gets you to 120 in 3rd gear, you are sadly mistaken N/ADC5 04-23-2006, 06:06 PM who said stage 2 gets you to 120 in 3rd gear, you are sadly mistaken Read above. Sorry, was off by 7mph. It's good enough to not have to shift 4th, big advantage when talking e.t. mi6_ 04-25-2006, 11:34 PM Arrived finally and Installed with ease. I was going to see if you'd be willing to give me a ride in your car, or if you'd consider spanking my ass on the highway with the stage II! My car needs more miles. Engine hasn't loosened up yet at 1650kms! Another few thousand and it will be faster! Although stage II is tempting! firestorm 04-30-2006, 02:32 AM who here can do the math on the exhaust. cfm , = flow requirement. base it on 3.0 litres displacement, to account for s/c and 7000 rpm. cracked 05-01-2006, 01:49 AM I missed you leaving work today! No worries. Maybe I'll break down and buy it yet this summer? mi6_ 08-29-2006, 10:20 PM Broke down today. With the new lower price, I ordered stage II for my car. 241 HP, here I come! SS33 08-29-2006, 10:29 PM welcome to the club mi6_ 08-29-2006, 10:46 PM welcome to the club I was going to hold out and concentrate on just paying off the car. I am hopin the 2008s get the 2.0L turbo. I want my car paid off so I can buy a new one if I want. But I will still have the SS/SC for next summer (usually October until next model year appears), so might as well go as fast as I can until then. With the cheaper price, I couldn't resist. an0malous 08-29-2006, 11:43 PM click the vid in my sig. I messed around with some before/after stuff on my stage 2 install :) LOVE IT Leafy 08-30-2006, 02:31 AM Like Borat Says: Nice!:twothumbs redsuperchargedgirl 08-31-2006, 02:49 AM How much lower is the price now??.. man I've been working so much I can't even keep up to price decreases lol! beamSS 08-31-2006, 02:50 AM welcome to the club bro! ENJOY mi6_ 08-31-2006, 03:54 AM How much lower is the price now??.. man I've been working so much I can't even keep up to price decreases lol! I think GM suggested retail is about $900; down from the $1250. So you should be able to find it for $900 or less plus installation. Zero Six SS 09-02-2006, 04:09 PM What does a cobalt with stage II run in the 1/4 mile? Sounds like it was a great investment! Congrats! mi6_ 09-03-2006, 02:08 PM What does a cobalt with stage II run in the 1/4 mile? Sounds like it was a great investment! Congrats! That depends who you talk to! GM has this info. They say a stage II car has over 0.7 seconds improvement in the qaurter-mile and a 0.5 sec. improvement in its 0-60MPH time. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v692/dustinr/Stagedkits2.jpg I am not sure what GM considers a stock Cobalt SS/SC's 0-60 MPH and quarter mile times to be, but I would imagine 0-60MPH in about 6 seconds, and probably a 14.6 quarter at 98 MPH. That said, I have seen a Cobalt SS/SC tested at 5.9 sec. 0-60 and a 14.4 @ 100 MPH. That is what I would estimate based on GM's claims. CTCOBALTSSS' car put down 242whp with GM stage 2 and an Injen intake!
