Swirl marks in new SS/TC
Just picked up my new Victory Red '09 SS/TC this week. I looked it over at the dealership and didn't notice any scratches, but it was overcast the day I bought it. When I went to wash it for the first time I noticed It was swirled!! Looks like some lazy detailer scrubbed the **** out of it with a dirty rag.
I hand buffed it with some Meguair's NXT and some premium microfibers.. It made them slightly less noticeable but they are still there. I contacted the dealer and they want the car back and said they will detail it properly... Do you think I should give it back to them?? They would have to machine buff it I imagine... I don't really trust them but don't have another option.
Do you guys with red have swirling troubles even if you take caution? I know they are inevitable but I don't think they should exist on a brand new car... I've only had white and silver cars before, so I am not use to them showing so easy.

clay bar takes impurities out of paint not swirls
you need to do these steps.......
1 get a buffer and a whool pad, a foam cut pad, and a foam glaze pad
2 whool pad the car with fast cut
3 foam cut pad the car with fast cut
4 foam cut pad the car with 1500 compound
5 foam glaze pad a good polish
6 wash the car and if theres still swirls repeat 1-5
your welcome
I think I'll take some of your advice and let them deal with it.. If it isn't 100% I will raise hell.. I shouldn't have to be dicking with my paint on a new car.. I'll keep you updated.
I don't blame GM i blame the dealers, have you ever watched them clean their cars? around here its a ******* joke, they spray the car then wipe it down with a towel. Its not jus Gm dealers that do this either I have seen Honda and Toyota do it. I don't know what would make someone to do this to a brand new car.

And the guy / gal they have working the wash bay will be the bottom of the food chain in any dealership, only there because the jiffy lube wasn't hiring.....they get their $7 - $8 per hour, they don't give a crap most of the time.
Or Quit ****** Trolling lol
