There are two holes in the underside of the blower, they are there to reduce the whine noise. Normal procedure is to fill them with Qwiksteel or similar metallic epoxy. If done carefully and correctly there are no adverse effects.

Of course you have to take the blower off...

Usually the only problem people have is the plugs falling out and lodging themselves in the intake manifold, but there is also the chance of them working thier way up into the blower as well. If that happens, blower is destroyed.

Maybe not something you should do yourself.

look at post above you, you plug it with some Qwiksteel or Magnumsteel (same stuff?) and hope that it stays in. Do it right and people have no probs do it the wrong way and well bad things might happen. I would reccomend porting the supercharger.

you can do that or put a smaller pulley on... or do both but get it tuned if you mess with the pulley

Yeah, we had a meet in MN and a redline showed up with a tvs and I couldnt hear anything! There was this odd noise but I think it was because he had the stock exhaust system still.

So an intake will have more whine?

I just installed the SC kit on my 2009 Pontiac G5 GT and I have a 2.9 pulley. It is very quiet and can only hear a slight amount of whine at higher RPM's.

I just ordered an intake so hopefully this is true!

Oh man is that going to make my day. I'm telling you my SC is really quiet, lol. Takes the fun out of the sound a little bit. If this intake gives me whine, I'm going to be pumped.

Good example of how it should sound with just an intake and stage 2 pulley, from the outside...

Stay away from the eBay intakes. They cause all kinds of issues.

The most popular are Injen, K&N, AEM, and the ZZP.
