I think I know what the problem is, but I was curious to if any one else heard the same thing.

I'm pretty sure mine is because I put on a temporary flex pipe after mine started leaking, and the flex is about 4 inches longer than the stock one.

It's always possible it's not, but it only clunks when you shift hard into 2nd while you're on it.

Any thing similar?

 

my car clunks hard when i do a hard 1-2 shift, its the rear diff slamming into the unibody from the MAD TORXORS

 

I know exactly how to fix your problem....dont shift so hard into 2nd.

 

the SS cable linkage is loud as hell...is it that or you mean you can hear your downpipe hitting the firewall?

 

The first place to start is, do you have mounts? If so, which mounts? If not, it's prob the DP into firewall...

And by the way, it was the cat vibrating against something (not sure what), since there was a broken hanger. Fixed.
