poly engine mount

well i was bored and decided to take a ride over to 'cobalt addictions' shop here on long island. i ended up buying a poly engine mount. its nice and solid. i wasnt planning on installing it tonight but my ex got home and i was depressed. so i took a ride over to my shop and threw it on. very ez install, took me 5mins. took it for a ride...holy hell, no more wheel hop. i retightened the bolts and took it for another spin. let the clutch out at 1500 rpms and i got 1 hop and tons of spin. i couldnt believe that the hop is virtually gone. if anyone wants to get rid of the hop, i strongly urge the poly engine mount.

its the mount on the passenger side of the engine. the stock one is filled with some fluid and it is very soft. the new poly ureathane (sp?) is alot stiffer. it justs bolts in place of the old one. 5 bolts and ur done.

the billet engine mount from ZZPerformance also works very well. No wheel hop at all. (I also got their poly tranny mount)

Ok so its UHMW or no? I can make my own UHMW from some round stock... Aren't any of you guys maintenance literate?

Does the new engine mount cause the car to vibrate more because I heard that they do that occasionally.

I have the ZZP mount and its basicaly the same thing and I have no vibes. But I still have alot of wheel hop. When I had stock power it had almost no wheel hop though.

which do you have the JBP or ZZP?
your not switch ing to braces are you, cause if your I suggest you drive around with the brace for a bit, and you'll see the motor mount is better

The passenger side mount won't fit his 2.2L auto, he doesn't have many options.
