1st time at the track. 09 SS/TC with vid.

This was my first time to drag my/any car at a track. Pretty fun. 97+ degrees and super humid on this day so I'm very impressed that I was able to crack off a 13.9.

Anybody know if my trap would be affected by the heat/humidity? The car felt like it was bogging just a tiny bit during the 1-2 NLS.

I just feel like I should be trapping higher. 102ish+?

I only managed one run at 100mph, and that was one of my last runs in the day at 14.3 seconds (Not in the video).

Not bad. I was only able to crack off a 14.2 stock at the drag strip in Memphis, TN in July. This city has CRAZY humidity. 70%+ with 90* temps at night. =( With my HP Tune and CIA DP with cutout, I ran a 13.4 @106 on stock tires with a 2.2 60' in 80* temps last night.

the density of the air when the humidity is higher prevents the engine from operating at peak efficiency. a cold air intake will alleviate some of the problem but overcoming the dense air is very difficult. for higher trap speeds, wind 3rd and 4th gear a little higher before you shift.

Good run. I need someone to teach me how to freaking launch...

How are you launching Oh Lordy? I'm struggling to get better then a 2.4 60ft. I've been running high 13's @ 108-110.
