Trapping low in the 1/4 mile?

This was my first time to drag my/any car at a track. Pretty fun. 97+ degrees and super humid on this day so I'm very impressed that I was able to crack off a 13.9.

Does anybody think that my trap would be affected by the heat/humidity? The car felt like it was bogging just a tiny bit during the 1-2 NLS.

I just feel like I should be trapping higher. 102ish+?

I only managed one run at 100mph, and that was one of my last runs in the day at 14.3 seconds (Not in the video).

The 97 degree weather is way too hot for good performance. Go back to the track on a cooler night and the mph will rise.

Are you finishing the track in 3rd or 4th gear?

The first several runs I was shifting into 4th because I was sticking to my habit of shifting gears around 5900rpms. I trapped 97mph a few times and then started staying in 3rd. That's the only way I could end up with even a 99mph trap speed.

Just the nasty weather. SS/tc was trapping 95-97 at the track a couple weeks ago here.
