Drunk driving. wow. Be responsible. I went to a party last night, when a drink got in my hand(I never drink), I handed my keys to the host and said don't let me be stupid.

I doubt he is crying in jail. Drunk drivers have little sympathy towards the families of the ones they killed and no remourse for their actions.

You ask me, they should get charged with 1st Degree murder. They had the intent to drive drunk knowing that they can crash and injure/kill someone. What's the difference between that and knowing that if you shoot a gun it can injure of kill someone.

no i bet he is crying, probably had a bad night and friends push his to drink more and he drove home and crashes into someone else. probably never got into trouble with the law , just one of those nights where he wish he did things different, now his life is over.

How so? Responsible, sensible human beings do not go out and drive drunk. Maybe I have a little added despise for them because I had a close friend who was killed by a drunk driver who only got 3 years in prison for it. I have 0 tolerance for individuals who go out and drive drunk. And it's only compounded when they injure or kill another innocent person. I see nothing wrong with my logic.

they are definitely true points here, but saying they feel no remorse? Everyone makes mistakes. Some make big (stupid) mistakes like driving buzzed/drunk.
i dont think anyone who accidentally killed someone is proud of it, and i dont think they feel "no remorse" for the parents/loved ones of those that they killed. I know if i ever got in an accident and killed someone, jesus, i'd ball my eyes out like none other.

theres 2 different types of remorse for people, 1 is for people who have a history of crime and always got into trouble and got drunk and killed someone on the road, there is no remorse for that person. the other type is someone who is just a regular person that works, pay there bills, has a g/f or wife and never got into trouble but one night he drank a little to much and thought they can make it home fine. they crash and kill the other driver, now i feel bad for that person cus they never meant to do something like that. But even though i feel bad for him, he still has to face the music.

This kid ran away and hid. On top of that, he wasn't even the legal age to drink. He will have a lot of time to think about this "mistake".

Is anyone here named Rafael Navarro? I didnt think so. So before anyone judges him on his actions on the incident, dont believe what you hear. You're hearing this from a damn newspaper! There are no details, besides one drunk driver and another man dead. They didnt interview him and they didnt get any statements from him, so there is no way anyone can know exactly how HE feels. So before YOU prosecute him, THINK!

The second you put a drink in your hand, you should know that you can't drive. To drive drunk, is not a mistake, you know damn well what you're doing.

Of course you dont see anything wrong with your logic, because your ignorant enough to think those things in the first place. The "Wrong" in your logic is that the first thing to "go" when you drink is your reasoning skills. Therefor the most sensible and responsible person in the world may feel they are ok to drive b/c they are actually too impaired to make an accurate assessment of their condition. Obviously the responsible people make plans before hand to not drive drunk, ie give keys away or arrange a ride before hand, but if these plans are not made ahead of time, most people claim and actually believe they are ok to drive, and the fact that they probably have driven home safely in the same condition previous times only reinforces their "inaccurate" decision that they are fine to drive.

also, to say people who kill someone while driving drunk feel no remorse is one of the dumbest things i have ever heard. I dont think I really need to explain why do I?

Yea, I see your point. I work in a jail so I see these people come in all the time. I have seen 1 person actually crying for being in here. That was a juvenile who came in for domestic battery.

I am the same way, I would be extremely upset if I was in an accident that was my fault and someone was killed. But here's where it get's sketchy for me. If the person was drinking prior and legally drunk. I won't say all, but I'll go out ona limb and say 90% of the individuals who are responsible adults do not go out and drive drunk. Once again, probably 90%.

It's erie man, people come in for vehicular manslaughter because they were driving drunk and they walk around and act as if they did absolutely nothing wrong. Sure, maybe they feel a little bit of guilt, but I'll say less than 1% of those who come in are actually truly and sincerely sorry and regret their decision.

Thanks for telling me something I already know.

I'm not here to pick an e-fight with you, but seriously wtf? You sat there and said that a reasonable person takes the necessary means to make sure they do not get in a car and drive drunk. I also did not say that nobody feels remourse for what they did. But the majority of them feel zero remourse. I see it day in and day out where I work. That's reality now a days.

I'm taking this as you being a sesible person and based off of how you would feel in that situation makes you feel that others feel the same way. Just not the case. That's the beauty of the society we live in.
