hey guys i know there is a ton of threads on winter rims and tires but i didnt find a solid answer....

My car: 2006 cobalt ss/sc

my question is im about to buy winter rims and tires and ive been to tire shops and they say i can only put on 17's steelies with winter tires.

but there is a set of 16" steelies and tires for a cobalt for sale and he says they will fit an ss/sc - i just want a definate answer. and they are 5x110 bolt pattern.

16's WILL fit on 05-07 SS/SC's. TC's require a minimum 17" because of the larger brakes. I have 16's with 205/55/16 Cooper snow tires. The Coopers offer pretty good grip for a decent price. It's going to be depressing when I have to take my 19's off and put 16" steelies on! lol

hahaha i know it is kinda depressing....and then you get the privilege of staring at them all winter in your garage teasing ya. lol
