new exhaust option

http://www.pfyc.com/store/merchant.m...ory_Code=GPEXH

these are exhaust cutouts...does anyone know how well they work?
I want my fuel economy but I want better flow...and its also quite inexpensive...my bro did a full custom 2.5 inch exhaust and costed about 800...this is only 150$

I know its old!

But its a new option for me...so besides it sounding like ass I don't care whatsoever...if I gives me better performance than a full custom exhaust then who cares...

plan

I am trying for the stealth look, I am putting a 75 shot of N20 with a CAI and header and hopefully these cutouts. I want to kill my bros car (turbo cobalt) and his friends car (cobalt ss supercharged). Should be possible, there allready is a retardedly fast saturn ion on here that looks like can dust a supercharged

when I ran open header for a day or 2 i didn't notice any sudden performance gains...

but it was so ****** loud that there is no way you could ever run that way except for the track only.

If you're looking for fuel economy, this isn't what you want.

The point of an exhaust cut out was for boosted applications. Boosted applications of course take in alot of air, so their exhaust flow is going to be much higher and stronger leaving the motor and the lack of backpressure helps. Even on turbo applications, the lack of backpressure helps spool turbos faster...I know this cause right now I'm running open downpipe and it spools sooo easy.

If you're naturally aspirated, the huge loss in backpressure will HURT your performance...your basically making a big exhaust leak. If you know anyone whos had a bad exhaust leak, it's not fun. It's annoyingly loud and their car runs slower....I also know this from experience when I was N/A (long story).

Basically, it's not something you want in this stage of this game...won't help in MPG nor Performance.
