Big ol' Teaser

as all you know i stripped the car and got it ready for the part out, a month went by and all i sold was my head lights, torque dampner, lower springs and some of the sound system.
after listen to alot of people tell me how stupid it would be to part out such a unique car that no one around has done, and go with a car that every where you look you see one. so i got thinking worked out a deal with my mom and im getting a new tranny for the car so its all back together.

In the mail are 80 pound per hour injectors and a new tune.
on order from glubes are my 9:1 prisons when they get in i will build the block and get it all back together.
next im looking into a twin disk clutch and maybe a lighter fly wheel but i wanna keep the stock one at the same time so we will see.
after i get them items im gonna build the head.
heres some pics.
body kit fixed both front and back, spent 30 mins with my neighbour to get the inter cooler perfect but when the bumper goes on its still off center .5 of an inch so im guessing its the kit.

charge pipe all painted as well

Oh and im getting Coil overs this time with the damping adjustment.

Sigh. I would say lower it but with that kit the wheel gap has to stay pretty much. Without SS badges, this would be a pretty respectable car.

so your keeping it again? I lost track of the other post on you getting rid of it. did you put a new tranny in? or what? she always looked clean but the new pipe looks a lot better now.

as for the SS comments, guys its just a badge with a LS turned into a turbo its worthy of the SS badges its not like he kept the LS body style and threw the badges on that

I think one of the biggest things that **** of people about the ss badges is the fact that people pay 25-30 grand on a supercharged or turbocharged cobalt and i bought an LS for 10,500 turboed it with motor internals for about 5-6 grand (motor being built soon) and my car beat every SS S/C I raced, and i stuck side by side with one SS T/C and beat one other one.
people brag about their horse power being like lets say 250whp but their torque is like lets say 180 ft lbs, and mine was 217whp and 213 ft lbs, the torque was right there with the horse power witch is why my car was so quick, its torque that gets you down the track not horse power.

Thanks for all the coments, the car was lowered before 2.5" on the sportlines and still had a nasty wheel gap, i once had 225/50/17 wheels on it and they filled the gapes perfect BUT i couldnt get the front bumper on when i did it.so now i have 215/40/17 i want to run a 21540/18 next year, but still iffy if it will fit and fill some gap.

Thanks about the charge pipe, i really love the color gun metal. im hopin and praying that my car will be painted this winter a different color, i dont wanna give out the color but its a very very very rare color and to buy the paint it is $3,000 its a 4 stage paint. so the buddy will be that color and the engine bay will be shaved wire tuck and painted gunmetal to match the interior, and the charge pipe, and the motor will be painted silver witch a lightning blue valve cover to match some of the air brshing that will be in the car. i hope to have a lot done to it for speed sport, but if i cant afford to paint the car then it will be silver for speed sport.

25-30k for an ss?
i paid 14... most brand new get them for 19-22k out the door.. and we dont have to buy and paint body kits. as we have a very nice stock one.. its a trade off yes, but atleast get the numbers right, as you have been here since 07 and im sure you know the numbers better than that

and dont get me wrong i think its awesome you built an ls, kudos for sure, as i couldnt do that

im really getting sick of americans going on about the price we pay for out cars. There are multiple threads about that...including the big huge arguement about my car costing $55,000 when theres cost $37,000ish. Price difference between canadian and american...not just the dollar value...our products r more expensive.
