ok so i installed my itake a few days ago and its a short ram and when im driving it vibrates but there is a big peice of metal under it from the motor is there a way to stop it from chipping away at the intake or should i just try and make a cushin for it please help me

yes, pics would be helpful. chances are you should just be able to rotate the intake slightly to give it more of an angle and that'll give you better clearance

 

the peice that is circled hits the intake pipe and it is chipping away the pipe

what can i use as a stopper

 

usually the intake comes with a rubber stopper on a screw type thing.. i had the same problem with my cold air where it went thru the fender i i juset put a lil piece of duct tape and it stop the annoying tick sound

 

i tried the duct tape will it stop the chipping cause i dont want a hole to develop

mine is also a short ram

 

i dont no y it would even be hitting that hard. wat intake is is ? is it installed securely ?

 

it moves up and down a little so im not sure what i did wrong all the connections are tight
