ZZP or OTTP stage kits

I know there are many posts on these two items on here but my question is not which one is better.

When i was on the site looking at ordering the 2 items it asks when ordering, take into account im new to the car scene and may be a little ignorant-

1. choose either oversized tensioner pulley, stage 2 belt, or ZZP adjustable tensioner.

2. (this one specific to OTTP) for pulley options choose either 2.8" MPS or 2.8" pulley for stage 2 hub.

My car only has an intake on it at this point and nothing else. what should my choices be for those options considering the car is bone stock.

Another side question which i know is gonna make me sound dumb. if i send in the core first will i be able to drive the car? i assume thats not possible but like i said im ignorant. any help would be great and thanks ahead of time!

I would go with the stage 2 belt, 2.8 MPS for 75 bucks more.

The MPS is the pulley system and hub. You need the stage 2 belt with both kits.

Alright that works. thanks for the reply

now heres the question that everyones heard many times i assume. which of the 2 would you prefer.
ZZP stage 3 or OTTP stage 1. i would go with stage 3 ZZP basically because i want the h/e with it so i could kill to birds with one stone but if its better to go with OTTP then i could just buy the h/e separate.

Thanks again for above

I had a ZZP stage 1 car run neck and neck w/me with all my mods listed in the sig, my cars tune was off but still, it was a quick car. With that said, an individual out here has a OTTP Stage 2 I beleive, and I think his maybe quicker than the other guy...idk

All in all, when my car was on the INTENSE mail order, it ran like a bat outta hell, 260whp/matching tq...13.6 @ 105, thats the best the car ever ran...until I get the tune dialed in at its current state of course. PPL can have these which mail order tunes are the best debate all day long, I'd say go through dyno sheets and quarter mile listings.

Right now...ZZP is running the game, hands down imo.

I recommend the ottp stage 1 personally. I like ottp's tunes more, zzp has had some issues in the past.

Thats what i thought the consensus might be, ive heard good things about the OTTP kit.

as for the PCM. once i ship that off i was correct by saying that the car wont be in running condition correct? say that was my only car, am i riding my bike until i get that back and the kit installed? lol

Makes you wonder sometimes, if ottp offers kickbacks? Always one sided with no real proof.

I have the ZZP stage 1 kit and have not had a single issue. ZZP was great to deal with and I will be getting the rest of my parts/work from them.

On the other side of the coin I have heard alot of good things about the OTTP tune. Just at the time I bought my kit ZZP was cheaper and it turned out to be a great buy.

What mshetz said is very true. We both have the OTT stage 1 kit and before I retuned mine would go richer as the rpm's climbed until and redline and his did the opposite I believe by going leaner and we both have very close to the same mods. I have seen a ZZP stage 2 car and it hauls ass. He is a good driver don't get me wrong there but he does beat just about every cobalt in my area.
