Florida J-Body Meet ( This upcoming weekend
This up coming weekend in Orlando. Other GM FWD cars welcome. We have 3 best of non J-Body throphies. Friday night the track for some fun, then saturday a show at Race Rock. We would love to have some Cobalt's there. If you need more info let me know.
Sorry some more info on this. The show part is $15. You can register at the show that day. The show starts at Noon. There will be door prizes giving out. GM is also a part sponsor and a GM rep might be there, but not sure yet. If he is he is the guy in charge of the show cars. He will be looking for people who have done nice things and might get your contact info and invite you to shows in the future.
Ok here is a little more info. The Pre-Registration for the show is over. So it is $15, and you can register at the show day of no problems. The address is 8986 International Drive, Orlando Fl. 32819. It is exit 74A off I4. If anyone is needing a hotel room Masters Inn which is on I drive for $44.90 a night. If you wait until the day of it will probably be $54.90. If anyone is going to get a room let me know because there is more info need to get that price.
Also don;t forget Friday night is drag racing at Orlando Speedworld (or also known as Bithlo I believe).

I'd like to make a few runs on Friday night, but I've never hit the track before. Is there anything I need to bring, like a helmet maybe? And what time do I need to be there by to ensure a run or two? (I've got to work here in Lakeland, probably wouldn't be able to get out there till after 7 pm, and that's if I skip the shower)

And I hope some big vendors will be there because I'm trying to get sponsored, I only get $7.50/hr. and pay $531/month for car, $201/month insurence and $70/month for cell so it really doesn't leave me with much

I will have some cleaning stuff as well you can use. Also most of us will be hitting the car wash early in the morning around 8-9. I know where one is near there.
For anyone going to the track Friday night look for a Blue cavy with 14" drag radials on the front. That will be me. Hoping to better my best time of a 14.83, but we will see if the stock clutch will hold. Hopefully we will have a area so we can all park together.

Thanks Robert. The show is outside. That flyer does not show the 3 non-J-body throphies we have. It is $15 to show for each car. Pretty much pull in find a spot and park. There will be a couple smaller vendors, but probably nothing big enough for sponsorship's. Looking forward to meeting fomr Cobalt owner's.
It's during the day, I thought it would be during the day and night, well w/e guess as soon as I get off work I will wash the car and head to Orlando. For whoever gets there first would be cool to save some spots for us.
