Great grip, but they are heavy as **** compared to tires in the same class.

I've got a set of slightly bigger 235/40-18's going on my '08 SS within the week. By nearly every review they are right at if not one of the best street/performance tires for the money right now. Great in the dry and still very good in the wet. Some of the Dunlops in recent years have been hit or miss, but the Z1 Star Spec are about as close to a daily drivable R-spec as I'm probably going to get. I'll try to update with a review later.

Finally got them installed on my '08 SS as well as new rear brakes. I'm running 235/40-18 which is a toucher wider than recommended for the stock 18x17.5 wheels but they fit okay. Initial impressions are very positive. I'll need to do some more driving under different conditions but from the few hundred miles I've put on them so far I can understand why these get the high praise they do.
