h1 hids wont fit in my gen 1!!!!!

i purchased a standard h1 hid kit off of vvme.com for my gen 1 projector and the bulb doesnt fit through the assembly no matter what way a try to force it trough.

i know the gen 1's are h1 size and the only 2 things i can think of that would be the problem is that the gen1 require the ultra slim h1 bulbs of that they are the wrong wattage. the gen 1 say 55w on the headlight and the standard kit i bought is 35w i beleive.

so, do i need the ultra slim, the 55 watt bulbs, or am i just retarded and the h1s should fit?

any tips on how to fit this thing through?

i got one of the bulbs in, but as far as i can tell the one closer to the inside of the headlight (the one that doesn't have the purplish sphere when looking at the headlights from the front) will not go in and there is just no way to get it to fit lol. it looks exactly the same as the other assembly but just ever so slightly smaller. im almost thinking about grinding it down a little so that it fits.

bumppp really need help

No idea on that one. https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/supporting-vendor-deals-group-purchases-133/hid-kits-%24130-shipped-112570/

On the first post at the very bottom shows the correct way to put them in, follow that, if no luck then I have no clue.

Ok, HID in these Gen 1,2,3 projectors require DRILLING/ROUTERING modification for them to produce light and fit properly.
Check this out.
