A/C Filter??

So I was running some random wires (not important) behind the glove box and found some clip type things, (they hold wires well) and found they keep a filter in the hvac system. Couldn't find anything in the manual or in this site. Just curious as to when it should be cleaned, etc. (sorry, i get bored.)

It's the cabin air filter. It filters pollen and dust from the air before it enters the car through the hvac.

Replace it when your engine air filter gets dirty.

It wasn't in my manual anywhere; it was in some supplemental information that came with my car.

So is K&N making a interior filter that I won't have to change ever?

I wouldn't want one anyway. K&N filters don't do a very good job at filtering. They actually let quite a lot of dirt in even if they are sopping in oil and filthy. Paper filters trap much smaller particles and those smaller particles are the entire point in the cabin filter.
