Vortex header straight pipe setup
Vortex header straight pipe setup
some people are aware of the problem i have with my exhaust. it has a 1 diameter inch baffle in it...
anyways
im going to cut the axel back off this week, im also cutting the cat out and its going to be a 2.25 straight pipe all the way through except for the 2.5 downpipe, the car will have only 1 resonator in the pipes. the exit will be a 2.5 for about 2 feet in length... i know, not the best setup. but the car is on stock boost...
what should i expect to see in power gains over my current setup?
will the exhaust become abnoxiously loud?
i have the vortex header right now, and i would like to hear it, the baffle is interfering with the sound...

i don't think your going to like it lol its going to be really loud and raspy and your not going to be able to hear your blower... i ran catless 2.5 all the way back with a magnaflow and this is how it was for me prob even worse for you.
go with a resonator and a high flow mufler the noise level between the blower and the exhaust are about even and its still resonabley quiet as long as you keep it below 3k rpm.
