No the SS/SC is a bit larger in terms of runner size but it bolts up fine because the mounting flange is the same.

honed one would probably not be worth it cause its like 250$. you can get a good aftermarket header for not too much more.

but a dp will be needed

the stock dp for the 2.2 is absolute garbage. it's small as hell and crimped to hell at the bend points. and in the case of mine the ******* thing had two cats. i'm not expert in cat efficiency but it is apparent to me that two cats = **** flow.

make sure that if you want to get the LSJ dp you do NOT have an automatic. or you will regret ever buying it.

trust me on that one. it was the worst 2 weeks of my life. not being able to sit at a light without people looking at you like your car is about to explode.

cliff notes: if you have an auto and put the LSJ dp on it will be hitting the front sway bar and cause endless vibrations and noises. the end.

any aftermarket one. i got a XTC (Cobalt-Addiction) with a high flow cat.

as far as i know it doesn't hit anything. only time i even have any vibes now are when im in reverse. but its not bad.

the used DP cost me 70 bucks.

Yes, which is the reason why there was a 3 BHP jump from 06 to 07.

I have an 07 ls. so my exhaust header is the same as the ones on the ss/sc? am I reading this correctly? If this is true, then all i really nedd is a downpipe for my exhaust before i get the cat back?

hmmm i dunno...and just to clairfy the header deal on the 2007's i bought a 05 SS SC header and swapped it with my stock one...wish i had taken pictures...there IS a difference between them the SS header flows much better and is much larger at the exit...

yeah i didn't think that the 2.2 manifold would have the same collector size regardless of whether or not people SAY it's the same.

really if you pair them up the difference is visible, another good idea (what i did) is file out the inside of the header for better air flow...if you do this and install you will feel a difference....butt dyno FTW id say 4 to 5 HP mostly on the top end...

I've seen pictures of the two side to side, but i guess they were out of an older 2.2 cause they were A LOT smaller in the pictures I saw, the dp too looked like it was like 1/2 the size of the stock 2.2 also. but does anyone think this is a good deal?
