Post Conn's Meet in Houston Shut Down

Here's the situation as it happened. The meet was at Conn's at I45 and Cypresswood. It started catching on around late Feb-March and went from barely two half rows of cars to an absolutely full Conns parking lot by September.

Rice and weird swerving-SUV-with-blaring-screwed-music-lambo doors-TV screens-and-legs-hanging-out-stuff started happening and ruined it basically.

The following is an excerpt from another forum that basically describes the details:

This past friday (9-25-09) some idiot got into a wreck outside the lot doing drifts but what really got cut off is when 24 police car came in to break up the meet and said anyone loitering the premises in future fridays they will be arrested for loitering on private property and seizure of vehicle. Sorry for those who browse here that still go to those meets (hopefully none) but I recieved word from meet organizer, The Woodlands Car Club, that they are no longer hosting meets at Conn's. Whether or not the TWCC will host meets in other location is up in the air but they too are afraid it will attract idiots and ricers. Any activities happenings from Conn's from here on out will be organized by idiots without permission (of course) and will be dealt accordingly to police. Thanks for reading and have a nice day.
Guess it's time to find another good Houston meet location. The other really good one looks like it might get shut down too. Maybe the next location can be one that we can filter who shows up to it to keep the kind of trash that messed up this meet from doing it again.
