abnormal engine noise

hey guys need some help.
i bought my 06 cobalt ss 2.4 about 4 months ago with 15k miles. The first week i bought the car i installed a K&n typhoon intake and vibrant header and downpipe. Since then ive put 12k miles on her... yea ik alot but there all highway miles. i change my oil every 4k miles with mobil 1 full synthetic 5w30 since day one. well ive noticed since that these are some noisey engines but its developed a tick from the engine in this past month and its been getting worse. At first it was only when idleing for a few now its all the time but only about 2.5k rpm and lower. its not a injector tick or exhaust tick/leak. its almost a metal to metal tick like taping on the valve cover with a screw driver type of sound. its on the passenger side of the engine it seems. its now there when idleing for a few when warm but the more it idles at that time the more its noticable. the other day i drove threw a drive threw and i could here it as i started to pull threw. i could here it echoing off the walls. its not to bad but it really bothers me when its coming from a engine that has been very well taken care of.
well after researching ive heard they have alot of issues with timing chain tensioners. So i took it to a local gm dealer and they listened to it. if u tap on the gas it will do it and sometimes at idle slightly but if u rev the engine high it goes away. after listening and scoping the noise out they come and tell me they've never had a issue like this with the 2.4l before and that they've heard of these motors having a oil pressure issue in the head and that the head might need replaced if oil pressure is not in spec in the head... ok the car has 27k miles on it and it might have to get the head replaced? doesnt make sense.

but after going threw paper work my extended warranty will only cover the work at the place i bought it at which is not what they told me when i bought it and there not a gm there a ford... great. anyways i could really use a 2nd opinion u guys have any ideas before i take it where i bought it from because im getting the feeling there just going to blow me off and tell me its fine when i know damn well its not. thanks

Step one

Cliffs

Step two

Take it to the dealer, you won't know what they will do for you unless you take it to them

Do those, and get back to us
