I have questions... I hope you have the answers...

Well, after searching, lurking, reading, and researching the many threads on this forum... I've decided on modding my Cobalt just a little more than what i had originally planned.

i read the "ENTIRE" modding list thread, and i've been in contact with Vince @ Trifecta. My goal is to have a decent ALL-MOTOR setup and then make the jump to a Supercharger Setup.

I've deduced that i need the following for my all motor setup:

SMS BB Throttle Body
LSJ Injectors
ZZP Plug-&-Play Injector Harness
Lightweight Pulley's
ZZP Long-Tube Headers w/ DP Combo
Exhaust*
Trifecta Tune
Different Fuel (91 or 93)

*I've noticed that anything bigger than a 2.5" is overkill and unnecessary so i take it any cat-back would work?

Am i on the right path or have i got something wrong?

for those bolt-ons and a good tune, your stock injectors will be fine

good, i'm kinda wanting to set myself up in a step by step form

All-Motor -> Make as much power if not a little more than a stock SS/SC
Supercharged -> Make as much power if not a little more than a stock SS/TC

you get the idea?

i think its possible, i just need to get my hands on a spare motor that i can build on the side

so i take it, that i'm on the right track

you will need more then those mods to hit stock SS/SC numbers. You will need at least a cam and more then likely head work.

thats why i put injectors on their, because i don't really want to max them out, and i'm trying to make it a certain power-level so i thought injectors where an obvious choice, but i guess there is some mix-up about it

Yep, this is most likely going to be the case.

I thought so as well, on the cams... what cams are good for the 2.4s? are the ZZP ones good or do you guys know any others that are as good or better?

LOVIN' THE FEEDBACK, this is really helping me out!

not tuned for 93 stock so i wouldnt see a difference between 91 and 93, if you get a tune to take advantage of the higher octane then it would be worth using it

A tune is in the works, just gotta budget everything right LOL

I got a 1992 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 "awaiting motor" and my Cobalt which is going to be modded so i can compare numbers and see if i can get on the modded leader-board

Hopefully after that i'll make the jump to Supercharged 2.4L and have some fun with that.

Money Money Money
