Hey guys, I was looking to buy a QTP Exhaust Cut Out/ Y pipe and I dont know the stock piping size, yes I know it might be a stupid question to some BUT IDK!!!! sSo is it 2.25, 2.5, or 3.0? I'm ruling out 3.0 but which is it then?

Where exactly are you putting the cutout ? On the downpipe or after the cats? The exhaust is different sizes in different spots

 

its 3 inch buddy trust

 

SS/TC stock piping is 2.75 inches. I know because I just changed my muffler and needed a custom adapter because the muffler has a 3 inch inlet.

why would you get the cut out on a stock downpipe?

Everyone here will tell you an aftermarket DP is a great buy

 

then the cut out is pointless

aftermarket downpipe does nothing without an exhaust

plus if you dont want your ***** busted by the po po

 

I changed just the downpipe on my car and it made a big difference , maybe you ment without a tune? Between getting rid of the 2 cat's ......and that nasty crush for the o2 sensor ..... you could feel the car gained power with the good old "Ass Dyno"

 

The stock downpipe is really restrictive but the stock exhaust is suppose to be pretty damn good.

You can get a DP with a high flow cat, but seriously your not going to get busted by a cop it wont be THAT loud. I have friends who completely cut their exhaust infact he just got pulled over today for his car being loud, but they didnt look under his car. i live in Houston if we dont have problems here where the cops are swarming and all of them are crooked dicks, then you shouldnt either.

 

but i live in NY the state where they pull your ass over for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING
