JPizzle 10-22-2009, 02:36 PM You might be having a problem with your "synchro" from 1st to 2nd. Take it up to the dealer to be sure, but I believe that, that is your problem... You are using the clutch, right? ;) 1SLOLT1 10-22-2009, 02:40 PM You might be having a problem with your "synchro" from 1st to 2nd. Take it up to the dealer to be sure, but I believe that, that is your problem... You are using the clutch, right? ;) no i thought i didnt have to use the clutch.....damn it! Yes i use the clutch it only happens in second gear. JPizzle 10-22-2009, 02:41 PM  Then I do believe it is a problem with your synchros. Search the forum & see what you can find by searching synchros. I think many other people have had the same problem you have. Here is a similar situation: http://www.cobaltss.net/forums/showthread.php?t=191303&highlight=synchros 1SLOLT1 10-22-2009, 02:46 PM shit that would suck my car only has 3600 miles on it! I guess i will have to take it in, but they will probably tell me its normal JPizzle 10-22-2009, 02:48 PM Yea I know. They always do that shit... But just take it in, & tell them you think there's a problem with your transmission synchros, or your shifter synchros. And tell them the problem. Stamina 10-22-2009, 02:50 PM Another possible thing could be the shifter needs to be slightly adjusted. 1SLOLT1 10-22-2009, 02:51 PM they will be why you taking it to redline to shift or say you are abusing your car so we wont cover it and i will be like its a performance car so screw you and fix it. I will take it in. Another possible thing could be the shifter needs to be slightly adjusted. How do you do this adjustment? Stamina 10-22-2009, 02:55 PM How do you do this adjustment? Here's one of the threads about it where somebody had a similar issue: http://www.cobaltss.net/forums/showthread.php?t=187224&highlight=shifter+adjustment I'm trying to find the thread where the GM Engineer explains the whole process. Permafried- 10-22-2009, 03:24 PM ^^^^ That's the right one, GettingAUsernameSucks is the post you're looking for in that thread :). 1SLOLT1 10-22-2009, 11:50 PM okay i followed the directions on the other thread. i havent had the chance to drive it yet but i will keep you guys posted. 1SLOLT1 10-23-2009, 02:31 PM I drove the car today and took it up to redline a couple of times and the car shifted perfectly. Thanks Guy! |
