big brakes

Hey guys,

Are there any other 4/2 piston calipers you can buy for these cars aside front the SS t/c Brembo fronts and the pre-made (super expensive) big brake kits? Anything from other cars, Summit, etc? Like other Brembos, Wilwoods, etc?

Thanks!

Define "super expensive." If you don't want to spend over a grand, the new OTTP kit would be the best option. Otherwise, no, there's not really anything else out there that's "cheap."

The OTTP kit is the only brake kit you're going to touch for under a grand. It uses the stock calipers with modified brackets and bigger rotors.

You're not going to get anything for less than that unless you can pull Brembos from a wrecked T/C.

Thats right. And if you install Brembos on an SS/SC you need 5 mm spacers for stock SC wheels. Either system, BBK from OTTP or TC Brembos, the brake pedal gets a lot firmer....amazing....and the BBK has floating rotors, stock TC Brembo does not, and thats worth the price of admission alone....

I've got IRL wheels which the t/c Brembos are compatible with as-is. But, unless you get some t/c fronts, you can't go 4 pistons for under a grand?

What's a fair price for used t/c fronts (if you can find them)?
