really wierd CEL problem!

we installed a aem CAI on my 2.4 3 weeks ago.the day we got it installed, the cel came out which is pretty common so the next day we reset the computer (unplug negative terminal). the cel goes off then 3 days later it comes back on so we unplug the neg terminal again.Couple days pass and the CEL turns back on.A week later, the CEL turns off which was great and all but since 2 days ago the CEL comes back on.Does anyone know why this is happening, specifically, why does the CEL keep turning on and off every couple days.

do yourself a favor and get a code reader that can read CAN OBD II. Your probably running throwing the lean code, or maybe your MAF sensor isnt sitting properly?

Or go to Advance Auto Parts/Auto Zone...they both check them for free. Maybe its something that doesn't have to do with the CAI install?? Only one way to find out though...

from what I know about OBD II, disconnecting the battery doesn't remove the thrown code from the computer. I was under the impression that it has to be cleared with a scantool or Tech II... maybe I am wrong.

I've been to 2 auto zones in my area and they werent able to scan the computer for the 2.4 since it uses the CAN bus.
