Halo Headlight Question

I am looking to get a pair of the halo projector headlights for my 08 cobalt ss/tc, but i don't plan on getting a HID kit for it. So im wondering what would be the best bulbs for these headlights to make them pretty good. Nothing to expensive but a good quality bulb. Ive heard of some people saying that they have H1 bulbs in, but im still unsure on the exact bulbs i should get. Also would leaving the stock 9007 bulbs in work fine? And if i get new bulbs do i need different ones for the high and low beams? Thanks in advance. Here is a link to the headlights that im looking to get.

really? i know of some people with HIDS say that it burns them out but thats why i was thinking of getting just some brighter bulbs. They just look so awesome tho and i would really like to get a pair. What kinds of things have you heard tho?

yeah bulbs are h1 i believe, the stock bulbs won't fit in them. Also projectors work fine... I would suggest getting the sylvania silverstar ultras and it will have great light output

Ive heard of halos burning out, melting but I think thats only from the HIDS, LEDS always goin out but u dont have to connect tho's or halos but they look better when they are connected, I have heard of people having to replace fuses because they burnt them out, and the clear peeling. But honestly I do agree with you they do look sick! I was going to buy them but I just painted my headlights housing black. But some people like them some dont! but its your car so if you like them thats all that matters!

those headlights use 2 seperate bulbs one for highs one for lows. The lows are the one in the projector the highs are the regular reflector style. I guess technically you would need 4 bulbs, but the brights should still be bright enough for the small amount of times you would use them (unless you use them alot, then I'd say get 4 new ones)

And the lows that come in those suck *****, just to let you know

I have the sylvania Cool Blue and I have had them for about a month but other than that theres a thread somewhere on here I remember reading and I think they said like 2 months to a year just search headlight bulbs...that should help.

yeah the silverstars will burn out quicker, but I believe sylvania has a one year warranty on all their bulbs. You could go one step down in the sylvania line and it will still be much brighter than stock, will burn out faster than a stock type bulb but last a little longer then the silverstar ultras

Alright thanks. Is there a noticeable change in vision with the sylvania cool blue lights over the stock bulbs?

I had the cool blues in my headlights before I went to HIDs and I would recommend them. They are definitely brighter than stock, but not drastically. They also give a nice light blue hue to the lights, although I'm not sure how exactly they would look coming out of the projector, I would still assume a light blue.
