made a decision...powdercoating my rims

ok since alot of people on here have had horor stories with the shitty paint quality of our rims and the service, when i get steelies this winter i am sending my rims out to a place called dura coat, they apparently do wonders when it coems to powder coating, i am goin a shade or 2 darker and lots of gloss jsut thought id vent cuz i noticed a lil tiny bit of peeling on another one of my rims and instead of my dealer sending them out and giving me a hassel i will take them to dura coat and never have to worry about how easy these rims scratch, chips or peeling, just thought id share...peace.

I never got any satisfactory reply from my dealer regarding my rims and the lousy paint. Powder coating them sounds like a great alternative as I like the design of them. I would go all silver though.

I'll keep Dura coat in mind when I do it.

Hope it works out for you.

I had my 2006 SS S/C back for the paint on the vehicle one week after buying it. The clear coat was a bit dull in spots. The dealer sent it to the body shop where they buffed the entire car. Looks great now.
