Only doing 22mpg!!! Help!!!

Hey guys, I was looking at the info that the dash gave when I was on the highway, and it was showing me that i was doing 22mpg. I been wanted to write about this because it looks like my car drains the gas somehow. Can there be any problem with the car taking up so much gas??? Thanks.

did you reset it when you got on the highway? it averages your city and highway together everytime you reset it

your supposed to cruise in 5th not 3rd. j/k. But like everyone else asked, did you reset it? I get terrible mileage around town, like 20-22mpg(mostly because I like the sound of my car and can't keep my foot out of it.) and I get 34-36mpg on the highway. So if I don't reset it then it gives me like 20-25mpg reading on highway.

Are you talking about the instant reading or the average mpg? You need to be in 5th gear on the highway if you are manual, and you need to go between 50-65mph to get the best fuel economy. The average reading calculates all your driving together, racing, city, and highway.

Well no I haven't reset it but besides what it's showing me I feel like my gas is being sucked up. I have put 70$ in 1 week.

Well I measured how many miles I did yesterday, since I had to go to homestead (but it's not regular) which was about 120 miles the whole day. It went off on 20$ is that right??? Was 85% highway.

if you have a CAI you will prolly start seeing losses in your milage since its getting cold. i always lose like 2-4 mpg wen its cold, any temp under 40 degrees.

120 miles in one day, no wonder you spent $70 for gas in one week.
