i just need help getting it running, maybe some advice too

i need a little help. i am stationed in germany and i cant find any shop who can work on my car since it doesnt exist in germany.

i bought an 05 Cobalt SS/SC for a very good price and it is in great condition, however...
the clutch was replaced and an autobody shop(the guy that had it before me was retarded) and the car ran fine before it was sent there. they replaced what i think is a hydraulic pressure regulator in the transmission as well as a high performance clutch and pressure plate. after they did that the car would not start. i checked the wires leading to the plugs/coils and it is getting spark. when i crank the car over for 20 seconds it smells like straight gasoline, not like it was getting ignited, but straight gasoline. i called chevy and they said they couldnt do anything without it being taken in to a dealer(kind of impossible in germany) but they did say that it could be the fuel pump, the cam positioning sensor, or the crank positioning sensor(from further research this seems to be it). i hooked an OBD2 up to the port and there are no fault codes to be found and everything in the car works other than it not starting. the car has a pretty long list of mods which are:

a. Transmission: 5 Speed (Manual)
- PRS Stage 2 Rotated Transmission Mount
- GMPP upgraded Clutch and TOB (NEW SLAVE CYLINDER! as of 01 Oct 2011)
- Custom Machined Adapter Plate

b. Electrical System:
- Alternator Condition: Fair (RECENTLY REPLACED! as of 25 Oct 2011)
- Battery Condition: New (as of 01 Apr 2011)

c. Engine
- Condition: Fair (Odometer Reads ~80k)
* NOTE: The previous owner who I purchased the vehicle from just finished rebuilding the engine before I bought it (while the odometer reads 80k miles, the rebuilt engine has ~3000 miles of usage).

d. Fuel:
- Economy: 22mpg (City) | 27 mpg Highway (My average on post ~23.9 MPG.)
- Walbro GSS 342 255LPH Fuel Pump
- Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator
- Racetronix 79lb/hr High IMP Injectors
- Custom Returnstyle Fuel Lines with Aeromotive fittings

e. Turbo:
- Turbo LNF K04 Turbo (36lb/MIN Capable) Manifold and Downpipe Elbow
- 28x8x3.5 CX Racing FMIC
- Turbosmart MBC

f. Exhaust:
- TIAL BOV
- ZZP 3" Catless DP
- Mandrel Exhaust Systems SS 3" Catback
- Saab LK9 Intake Manifold
- LSJ Throttle Body

g. Misc:
- NTK AFX wideband
- Interceptor OBD2 Scan Gauge
- Pedders Sportryder springs
- LNF Struts
- Progress Sport Rear Sway Bar
- MSR 045 18x8? rims
- Stock 18" Rims with Winter Tires
- HKS EVC 6 Electronic Boost Controller
- ZZP Phenolic IM Spacer
- New Drilled and Slotted Rotors and Ceramic Pads

i know almost all of these parts would not cause this problem, however i thought it would be best to send you a list of everything aftermarket that was performed.

also, i was wondering what kind of power this car would have to the ground and what mods in this list i should replace with better ones or which ones are prone to fail. my old car was a MK5 gti with 226WHP and 248WTQ and we were about even, but he did have a slipping clutch.

this site is my last effort as to getting the car running since there is no where i can take it being here in germany.
if you could even point me in the right direction to a person to ask any help would be greatly appreciated.

i just want to get this car running, thank you in advance for any assistance you can offer me.

the biggest thing is how extensivly its modded. it will have a custom tune, its a question of how good that tune was. im guessing you bought it without hearing it run, if so that throws a big unknown into this.

i would start by checking all the wiring, it could be something simple as the coil harness not plugged in, or a sensor that got missed. next id pull the plugs out, im sure they will be soaked in fuel, either clean them off or better yet, just replace them. when your at it throw one in a coil and check to see if it has spark. if it does, toss it back together and try it. passed that stuff, it could be related to the tuning. might need somebody more experienced with this sort of setup step in and give you a hand.

yes, i did hear it run as it was keeping up with my old GTI, even with a slipping clutch... but after the auto shop did the clutch replacement it sat at the shop for about 4 months. i would love to have someone help me out with this, however i am stationed in germany and there are very few chevy dealerships here that have the Cruze and Aveo, and none of them have the cobalt since it was never imported over here. thanks for the words of wisdom man, i appreciate it.

well, start with what i said earlier, check all wiring connections, pull the plugs out and clean em off, check for spark, and go from there.

So it was the spark plugs... Such a stupid mistake not to check that first. I think that the tune is bad too because it is running quite a bit rich... I also found out that the turbo that is on the car is not just a peiced together turbo but a kit from ZZPerformance and from further review of their website they seem like a pretty legit company. Does anyone know someone in germany that can tune these cars and does anyone know what the horsepower and torque SHOULD be around for this turbo kit? Thanks for the help, i will pick it up pretty fast
