Unreal Deal on replacement Conti's

Just trying to help other SS owners ....I am not selling these or making any money from the sale of these......

I just got 2 brand new Sport Contact 2's for 218 shipped to my door from a guy on Ebay . I ordered them friday and they showed up today . I checked Tire rack and they are over 200 a piece. Here is the guy's auctions.... 200 plus shipping for 2 and 460 shipped for 4 .

Americas/discount tire has the Contisport 3 for $123 special still running.

I just bought them 2 weeks ago.

Good deal, but for the money I'd just look for some other tire. I have no idea why GM decided to use the tires they did. They aren't that good in warm weather, they can't be driven in snow, and they're expensive! They must have got a ridiculous price on them (more like we have to pay a ridiculous mark-up!).

I swapped my stock continentals for continental conti-extreme contacts. I think they were maybe $120ish per tire, they're ultra-high performance all seasons and do pretty well in snow as well as wet and dry weather.

They look like a decent tire , good price . It will be interesting to see how they compare to the SC2's

They aren't the best but i've had worse. They are decent at this price ....but not 200 a piece.

Be aware
These tires are already a year old. I was going to buy them he he didn;t like my offer of 400, plus by the time I need them they will be almost 4 years old.

I made him a offer for all four and the best he would do was 440 when I can buy two of them ata time for 218 x 2 = $436 to my door WTF?

The tires were 200 and he charged me 18 buck to ship them . He is alot closer to me than he is to you so maybe he wanted 10 bucks a tire to ship rather than the 9 he charged me? So his best of 440 is still a smokin deal for 4 of these tires. Mine are already on the car and looked like they came right from the factory.

Tire rack wants 49 bucks to ship 4 to me ...and 808 for the tires . If you won't need them for 3 years then i wouldn't sit on them that long ......with a 280 treadwear i needed fronts in 6 months lol.

I like the stock conti's but I am looking to step up to a 235 and something that last a bit longer. For my ss/sc I got a set of Falken Ziex ZE-512 and it was a night and day difference of the stock Pirelli's, they handled GREAT. My fear of getting the falkens is that they might not cover the lip like the conti's do on the wider ss/tc wheels. A buddy of mine got the falkens in 225 and there was NO wheel lip protections. I don't know if the 235's would make up much difference. Does anyone have the falkens in 235?
