Im not a fan of the GMPP ported manifold. I would save that money for a header.... and if your worried about a warranty, a header isnt going to cause any problems...

Well Magnaflow is like $450.00 and a header is at least 3-$400. So you would be around $800.00ish with that set up. That's not too bad. Just some people have gripes with Magnaflow about the quality.

Isnt the Corsa a 3" exhaust. If it is thats too big for any Cobalt. With a 3" exhaust you will lose bottom end power. Im just sharing some info I got from a very helpful person...
I still dont know if getting an exhaust system is worth it yet. I want more feedback from people who know what they are talking about. I will probably wait for a better/deeper/quieter sounding exhaust because I still have till August to get my car.

Corsa is 2.5" Mandrel bend. There is no aftermarket exhaust that is 3" unless you go custom

i would go with the corsa touring exhaust. I had the sport and it was way to annoying on the highway going anything above 90. Corsa makes some great stuff.

For the money go for GMPP! But kind you might you need to buy the tip too! And lets be 100% honest here, in the Corsa's price a fair amount of you paying for the brand name and a slight difference in tone!

Don't know about you but I would rather have my money in complete system that is going to have a higher flow and never have to worry about the Dealership ever saying something about or trying any BS warranty games! When my time comes around it will be the full GMPP system for sure!

Good call KJS. I am going to go for the GMPP manifold and cat-back, keep it GM you know. That's a good find on the price. I can't remember if I included shipping or not but good find either way.

come on isnt the gmpp 2.25. So you are not increasing the flow much. You also have to buy a tip for the muffler. I would really go with the corsa sport because i love mine or the magnaflow because they will flow much better than a 2.25. If you want to get exhaust and header and stay under a grand stick with magnaflow if you want the best results go with corsa and a long tube header. Not cheap but best way to upgrade.

Forget the Magnaflow. If you just want to change the muffler and the 2.25" piping, go with a Borla Turbo XL and a 2.5" u bend from JC Whitney.

I'm debating between this and the Corsa Touring.

I would also wait and see how this new header turns out. It looks really promising.

Those aren't really headers though, cause the downpipe and cat will still be the stock units. Unforutunatly the units that come with all that are about 700 dollars.

i personally feel like u get more bang for your buck with GM stuff i mean warranty basically header and exhaust as opposed to exhaust and i personally prefer GMPP exhaust's sound.

My vote goes to the Corsa and oh by the way, throw in a good header. If you take a good look at the GMPP manifold, it is about half way between stock and a good header. Personally, I am leaning toward the TOG header, off road down pipe (may have to fab my own) and the Corsa Sport system.

The TOG had fitment issues, and they are now out of business last I heard. They left a lot of people on here very upset with their product, or lack there of.

I bought the CORSA Sport. Someone dyno'd their GMPP Exhaust and only gained 5hp. CORSA says 12hp with their cat-back. Plus the CORSA is 2.5" Mandrel Bend and the GMPP is 2.25" Mandrel bend. You are defeating the purpose of going smaller in piping and creating a bottleneck for the exhaust. The Stock piping is 2.5". I chose the CORSA Sport because of the 2.5" Mandrel Bend, got the highest gain in hp(that i was able to find) and it sounds awesome. I like the pops and gargles from it and sound a little similar to an SRT-4 which I like. But i'll find out this weekend when i get it and install it

I didn't see my choice in the poll so I voted you suck.

Joking aside, IMHO, the stock exhaust is fine except for the muffler. I just replaced it with a Flowmaster 40 series and a 4" Magnaflow tip. I just ordered a SCDyne header and am hoping all works out with it. Keep the cat on as it will sound like **** without it. A high flow cat is also a waste of money because the guts are the same. The only way a cat can be better is if it is physically larger.

The GM manifold is a waste as well. It may give you a bit more flow but a header would be much better for a few dollars more.

My exhaust note is much deeper with the muffler, although the ticking is still there after the car is shut down. One thing that made me go this route was that the factory bends are the same as the aftermarket bends. And the factory piping is mostly 2.5" anyway, so why spend the $$$ to swap 2.5 for 2.5?? The cork in the exhaust is the muffler.
Just my 2 pennies.
