Cobalt RS Edition
Cobalt RS Edition
Anyone see the commercials for the new Chevy Cobalt RS package? It's basically different wheels, chrome door handles etc.
Oh, one more thing, there's a fancy RS badge on there.

Yeah, I've also seen the Cobalt "SST" floating around, especially at the dealer where I got my SS/SC from. In fact, I traded in a silver SST for the silver SS/SC I have now. Basically, they're 2.2s with an overpriced visual and tire package. So they look good but... well, you know.

They are all vintage Camaro pieces (67 & 69), added my own spiffy wheels, having the headrests embroidered with a bowtie with "RS" in the center. Mine looks neat.
And besides, not everyone wanted or could afford an SS. At the time I bought my car, i was not financially solvent enough for the pricetag and my insurance agent had a coronary when I mentioned Cobalt SS. I have always had Cavalier RS or Type 10 and felt that since Chevy didn't make one, **** it, I would.
and the 2.2L is not a bad engine. There's no need to go and get all elitist. If I really want to, i can turbo it and go supercharger hunting.

I bought 4th gen Camaro RS emblems off ebay, $14 shipped.
But, this summer is going to be great, because I'm going to get custom upolstery done to my car.

Yeah, I think i'm going to go out to auto zone and see if I can "make" myself a new brand of Cobalt. Maybe some turbocharged stickers and a nice Greddy BOV to go with it. You know since they didn't make those or anything.
I didn't dump on it anyways. I said why pretend we have something we don't?
I seem to be missing something. Whats wrong with making your car YOURS? He wants to spend his money doing something to his car...oh wait, most of us on this site have spent money on our cars in some form. Just because he couldn't afford the S/C one at the time doesn't make your car any better or any worse than his. I couldn't afford the S/C one at the time, and I've put blue neons under my dash...Any way, He can make his car how ever he wants to. And there is no need to crap on him for it.

I don't know why customizing your car to your liking is wrong. Many of us non SS/SC owners may have not been able to afford the SS/SC. I also don't know why some SS/SC owners think they are better just because they have Superchargers and more HP and TQ. In reality, its the same freaking car, its just a different motor and other different various things.
There's my two cents.
Cant we all get along?
