20's question

Ok

I am thinkin about getting Konig Unkowns in a 20" rim.. I would have gone 19's, but they don't make them in 19's at all.. The 18's look way to small cause of the design..

So.. I am lowered on Sportlines.. I know these work cause there is 1 guy (maybe more) with these in a 20 on the sportlines..

My question is.. I can get a deal on some tires for them.. Is a 245/35/20 gonne be too wide?? Any rubbing issues and what not??

Thanks

Way too wide. I barely fit 225/35/20 on mine. Right now, I can stick my finger between the bottom of the front spring perch. It's about 1/8 inch less than it was with just the sportlines. I think 225/30/20 will fit better, I just couldn't find any.

245/35/20 are gonna be waaaaaaaaayyyyyy too wide and too tall also. Like mentioned before the best fitment is the 225/30/20 they are only about .4" taller than the stock tire set up(depending on which model u have im going by the 2.2LS)

I mentioned it in another post... your biggest worry with low profile tires is potholes and metal plates in the road. if you can avoid those you are fine

Good luck on whatever way you go

we did 225/35/20 , 255/35/20 staggered fitment deep dish rennen rc 2 rims. but i also have a widebody in the rear.
when slammed the car is barely hitting the wheel well. i went with airride to adjust my ride height so i could still drive when raised no problem. the only time i would slam the car is at shows.

also i had 20s on the cavalier with one size tire bigger then the thinnest you could get. i drove on the belt parkway in brooklyn with them and never had problems. just be careful not to hit large potholes. bumps shouldnt be too bad...its the large gapping holes u need to watch or sewer grates...if you wheel falls into one you will dent it. but most 20s are made to take a lot ...
