i called customer care center

I ordered my cobalt ss/sc on feb 21(I think). After no answer from my dealer I called the customer care center with my order #. I went to my sales manager and asked for it. This was my answer. My blue ss/sc is scheduled for production on may 9th and will be shipped directly to your dealership there after, which will take 2 to 3 weeks to receive. Therefore u should receive your vehicle approx the first week of june????? If I'm not mistaken the hot button promo will be done then? My rate break of 1%that I'm suppose to get for attending the auto show will expire also at the end of may. And the offer in hand of $750 expires the end of april. What's a man to do? gm doesn't have another car I'm interested in. Nedless to say I'm not a happy camper right now, I'm just hoping my car arrives soon!!!!!

Well you can't expect those discount on a car you special order. Most of the special offers require you take delivery from retail stock. The point of all the good deals is to move out the old inventory.

Sorry

They told me they'll give me whatever offers are available at the time of purchase, I guess I shouldn't hope for more? They told me to go to the autoshow to get rate brake, I wasn't even going to go. If it comes in at the end of may, I think I'll still be happy.

Yes, talked to my sales manager and he said he might be able to help me with $750 coupon. The others he can't. I talked to customer care and they said they would not extend any offers they had. What ever is available at the time vehicle is purchased. So I'll just wait and see what happens. But if I have to bug them to save a few bucks I will. But I'll do it pollitely.

****. So in order to get the $1000 from the hot button deal you have to buy the actual car by May 31st? So if I order the vehicle before the 31st, but then the car comes in in like July I won't get the $1000? That sucks.

You'll have to take delivery by said date. This is the norm for all manufacturers. If there was no urgency to the end of an offer, then people wouldn't rush to the dealer to save.

Smile availability

If you can get to Pittsburgh, there are 7 dealers with loaded Cobalt SS's in the area. 3 in West Verginia & 3 that I know of in Ohio. Most in Pittsburgh are red, 1 silver and 1 yellow. I am told the red ones are from the Auto Show production run of 75, and were sent by GM. Only the largest dealers recieved these cars. I purchased a red one loaded, everything but XM for final cost of 22,943.50 just 2 days ago. If you have to wait, WAIT. I've driven Camaros, vettes, mustangs and a porche and the SS is in my view the funnest, most agile and balanced car I've ever driven.

I ordered mine December 8th, 2004 and I'm still hoping to have mine by May. WELCOME TO THE CLUB. My black SS S/C wblue inserts and sunroof was made TWO WEEKS ago and I just got a call from Jacklyn with canadian customer service and I was told that it hadn't left yet. Getting an answer as to why on Monday. YEAH!! STILL WAITING PATIENTLY THOUGH

Guys I know for you that ordered in December it's been a hard wait, but myself and other on here have had order since October and still don't have their cars. Yeah the hype sucks without a car in site, but they're on the way. I have gone thru 2 cars since my order, so this whole wait thing has cost me much money. It does seen as if people on here that have gotten their cars already got them about a week before they were scheduled to be delivered. Mine scheduled to be built next week and delivered on the 4th of May
