If your SS/SC doubles as your winter car (you're in Calgary, right?), then yes. Otherwise, just get summer tires.

For all around performance, I've always liked the BFGoodrich G-Forces

If you plan to drive it in winter it is best to get winter specific tires. Yes, you can get by with all seasons during winter but you get added security with winter tires. Trust me, I drive with awd and with all seasons its not that great. In that case, get summer specific tires for summer. Those Nero's are pretty good. Yokohama Advan S4 are pretty grippy. The G Forces are also good. I'm using Yoko ES100's and they are alright for daily driving. I personaly like the Bridgestone S03. They are an older tire but overall its a great tire. Great in the rain and in the dry. I've used Falkens b4 and I wasn't at all happy with wet weather performance but I'm sure other ppl would disagree. In the end its whatever you can afford and like. If you got the $$ then go for some sticky Advans or if you're going bang for buck go for some Cumho's....uhh I mean Kumho

Those 18's are a little over $800 a piece, cheaper to get steel wheels and good winter tires than to replace even just one 18" because you hit a curb or anything else that may be hidden in the snow. Plus, you'll then have the best performance and handling you can have in both seasons. Just a suggestion...

Goodyear Eagle F1's. Number 1 overall performance tire, rated in Car&Driver. I got them and nothing else even compares.

If you get a size wider (225s for instance) you might want to drop to a 40 series tire. I did the mistake of getting 225/45s and the car sits funny and not as much lateral performance

yeah deff get 225/40R18s, it keeps the overall outside diameter very close to what the computer is looking for and it gives you a slightly wider tire which seems like it would provide a little more traction, not to mention the price of the tires are much cheaper. i just put on the khumo spt's and i'm not sure if there better yet b/c i have to break them in but the price was right. i got them for 85 bucks per tire, if i got our normal size they would have been like 108 per tire, also if your buget allows i suggest getting winter wheels and tires for winter.

Those are definitely on top of the list for all around great tires. Bested in the dry by only the Yoko Advan Neova and BFG KD's.

I have Yoko Advan Neova's on my car and theyre sweet so far. Finally get to autocross test them next weekend.

I second the recomendation for 225/40/18, that's what I've got on my SS and they look and perform great.
