Ordered Intense Stage 4

Just ordered the intense stage 4 kit, i plan on sending in my snout and PCM next week. I will let you know how everything goes, so far they have had GREAT customer support just answering my dumb questions .

Im very excited and cant wait anymore (waited a month and a half for no Stage 2 to come in from GM)

Anyways, everyone who has installed the bigger idler pulley, how does it come off? thanks!

PS any tips on the install would be good, im going to be doing alot of searches on the forums

Good plan brotha. I have a friend with the GM Stage 2. We ran and he cant hang with my intense 3 so i know you would be disappointed with the gm kit

ahahah go get your stage 2 put on then you sheep can fall in line with the rest of the herd. And don't be surprised when it takes you stage 2 plus I/H/E to get mid to high 13's on stock rubber. That flash is garbage. it runs too soft.

I wasn't arguing that, just don't say that a 3.0 alone will produce more power than Stage 2. Facts please.

i didn't say it makes more power either. But a cobalt with a 3.0 pulley on stock injectors runs harder than a stage 2 cobalt. one the amount of timming in the stage flash and 2 how rich the stage 2 flash runs.

Congrats on the purchase! You will love it! Plan on upgrading the clutch soon if you haven't already. Also, what kept you from going to stage 5?

Well they wont have any 2.5" pulleys until mid-June (im getting a 2.6 instead) and the ecu flash is the same. I also want my same supercharger back(only 3000 miles) and dont have the 3-4weeks it takes to get ported. This is a very busy time for the company porting the superchargers right now, so i can wait. When they slow down ill send my supercharger and get the 2.5 pulley .

That's what I like to hear In the meantime, get a clutch and aluminum flywheel.

All I have to say is that even with my damn clutch slipping awhile back before the new one, my GM Stage 2 was definately a 13 sec car on stock rubber for one. I have raced plenty of cars that are well into the 13's and have kept up or pulled them with my Stage 2. Before you start talking $hit you better make sure you get your facts straight. As soon as I get my small issues I currently have fixed, I'll post track times to prove it.

First pull the whole tensioner off. Take the black plastic cover off the center of the idler pulley and underneath is a large torx head bolt. Remove that bolt and then grind the tensioner bracket as necessary. Reinstall the new idler pulley without the center cap. All done.

at first i wasn't gonna ride but then you said your car is definatly a 13 second car cause you raced other cars that should be 13 second cars and beat some of them or tied.....................Your a ******* joke. Go to the track PANSEY!
Edit: Wow after reading your post again im just amazed at the sheep on this site. Next thing you know they'll be saying they saw a car that should run 10's going the opposite way on the highway which means the car they own can run 12's. Oh yeah stop your gay roll racing.

yo bro why u jumpin down his throat.. the stage 2 GM kit absolutely makes these cars a high 13 second car. if people are getting 14.1 stock and like 14.0 with like a filter and high 13's with a catback and like a torque brace or something, why wouldnt his car run in the high 13's as long as he isnt at some high elevation? i think every1 needs 2 chill out a lil bit

and not every1 has the time to go 2 the track all the time.. **** the one time i was able to go it f*in rained the minute i arrived and they cancelled the day.. but running with people that run times is a good ESTIMATE of what you run.. example.. from a dead stop you launch with a car that runs 13.5 consistantly (not a car u think runs 13.5). if you are next to him the entire time, your time will be APPROX. mid 13;s.. that isnt too hard to comprehend

from the dyno #'s ive seen it gives a good noticible increase in power, especially in teh midrange, with the addition of the 7000 rpm redline, which is crucial when running these cars hard bc it keeps you in your powerband better. if you are concerned about warranty, it is absolutely a worthy modification

You don't want the negitive you wanna hear that the stage 2 is the greatest thing ever so here you go "The Gm stage 2 is the greatest thing ever". Now that your minds at ease you can go pick the flash up and forever be slow and bitter like the other members on this site wondering why they can't beat cars that other cobalts are beating with just a pulley and no flash. The stage 2 flash is too conservative and was made to run super safe = rich + no timming. Since most members don't know or care what that means and just wanna say there stage 2 fast be damned, than GM stage 2 is the way for them.

Stage 2 is a good improvement if you are concerned about warranty. If you are more concerned with performance then go with the Intense setup now that they are able to reflash your PCM. I have (had) stage 2 i\h\e and it was a good combo but that extra feeling of go wears off and then you (I) want more. You will get more for your money from Intense.

yup yup. honestly though the intense pcm makes the car feel like its running harder doesn't it? Since you've had both can you agree with that.
