Anyone have a aftermarket clutch on their 2.4L?
Anyone have a aftermarket clutch on their 2.4L?
My clutch has offically shot craps? I dont want to install another crappy stock clutch. So, has anyone installed a aftermarket clutch/flywheel and had some good luck? I was told there arent any clutchs out of the 2.4l's yet.
When your looking for clutches or anything involved with the tranny look for stuff for the 2.2 cobalt since we shave the same trans. How mnay miles are on your clutch? i'm at 12k and haven't had a problem yet.
I have about a 1000 miles on it. Ever since I bought it, when I would get off the highway, I could smell it burning. Well, friday I got off the highway and she left go. Couldnt get it into or out of gear. I had it toed to the dealership and they told me the clutch was gone and needed a new one. They had to order one. I told them to hold off installing it, so I can see if I can find a better clutch. I forgot to ask if they could install a clutch from one of the stage kits. I'll ask tomorrow.

Has anyone actually tested the 2.2 clutch on the 2.4? We are almost sure that they are the same, but SPEC stated that they had not test fit a 2.4 yet.
If anyone happens to be at a dealer, check out if the 2.2 and 2.4 GM flywheel and clutch have the same part numbers. If they do, it will make a lot of 2.4 owners happy

I wish I knew for sure if it would work or not. Cause, I just had the dealership put another stock clutch in. Since they were paying for it anyway, I figured why not. Save me some cash for now.
