Might be unmodding my car...

This whole clutch thing has got me frustrated and I remembered when I got the car I told my mom I'd keep it stock.

Either way im getting a 1k or less jeep cherokee within the next few weeks and I kinda wanna off road it.

So either way im getting the jeep...im just debating on demodding the car or not...putting stock clutch and injectors in...unmachined s/c...Need an exhaust tho since my muffler baffles are blow out...the new clutch cm sent to me would be for sale too. Idk cause i just love the setup now with the exception of the clutch...any thoughts?

Dan

Dan, not you too? =(

Yo, seriously.. We need to find a solution to these clutch issues. If we find a clutch-cure, I guarantee we'll be right back in the ring for modding once again. No one still has a clue what is the 100% fix.... ****.

Jekyl has the FX400 in his car, installed at the dealership and is having no problems at all. They can and do, work.

Making not wanna do anything to mine. Guess I can ride the stock clutch till things get sorted out. You can't take a stock RL to the GMSCB not can ya?

Exedy told me that 99.9% of the time if you're having a problem with a quality clutch it's because it wasn't installed right.

For what it's worth Dan, I had mine at the track last night, and my spec 3+ worked FLAWLESS! I shifted very fast and hard, and had no troubles. It's like it just finally got broken in! I am having ZERO issues with it. Basically, I'm just saying stick with it. I've been through this crap with 3 different cars now. You will always run into some sort of a problem when modding a car. You just have to try and stick it out and move forward.

So now my question is about all the other problems people have been saying were wrong with the clutch system... (Hydrolics, slave cylinder, blah blah blah...) IS this supposed to all be resolved or something with CM's new designed clutch?

you expect everything to be working right? thats just how aftermarket goes.. more so when the car is new and the parts are just now in the making.. right now is the most defective annoying time.. but i think everything will be perfectly fine with in 6 months-1 year

Well that explains it then the stock clutch is a good clutch. just the gm factory guys did not install mine right.

Seriously now. how can you install a clutch incorrectly. the only thing I can think of is not ensuring fiction surfaces were kept clean of oils and grease.

So I am asking, just how do you install a clutch incorrectly?
