I need to vent some, mostly about the state and my dealer....and a little about the g/f....

I kindof got rushed into the new car thing, I was planning on it for a long time....but then the g/f wanted to see about a House....so we did that, and got depressed....so when we decided it wasn't going to happen, I was going to wait for the Stage Kits to come out before I ordered my car...(which would mean I would have ended up ordering a 07)

But the G/f used to work for a Chevy dealer back in her home town, which is where we bought her car from. She got a good deal on it...$3,000 for her trade in, a Base 2000 4dr cav. only option is auto trans, was maybe worth about 1000, so good there, then her new car was a 05 LS with a bunch of options, but not to many...with the employee pricing for everyone thing, she got it at 15,600. So we feal she did well.

Anyway, she calls the same guy up about 3 days after we decide not to buy a house....Has him looking for a Car that has the options I want....06, laser blue, ss/sc, all options. he finds one...asks for a shipping deposit etc etc...So I'm out $1,000 if I don't like it. (I love it, but it's not really my car)

I wanted to go in and order it from chevy/GM with my options, I wanted it to come off the truck with 1 mile on it....instead, they drove it up from the other dealer, I got it with almost 280 miles on it. Since I already had a shipping deposit on it, I was out $1,000 if I didn't want it....

So I get to the dealer to fill out the paper work and because we are dealing with someone the g/f knows....I can't really argue over price to much...The first set of paper work we get has the car listed at 25,900....I'm expecting to pay at most 23,500....as thats what I can get online for MSRP (pretty much) and acording to the car shopping websites, it really only about a 22,800 car....Anyway, they had that new Lower MSRP thing at the time and the window sticker for that was in the glove box....great so I'm paying 24,500 for the car...

If I would have waited till the point I wanted, I would have been able to get the Stage 2 kit with it, would have gotten to order "My Car" and I'm sure I would have only payed about 24,000 with the stage kit...

So Don't buy from friends, unless there great friends, or family, and don't listen to women....It always causes problems...

Also haveing a issue with the dealer about my plates...I wanted to order my Vanity plate (my SN here) at the time I bought the car, but they told me I couldn't do it cause they don't do that cause the temps run out before the vanities get in....Fine then I better not have to pay any more when I get them changed over... Some 94 more dollars later and I have to wait atleast 6 weeks for my plates still....That stupid plate should have been ordered with the car and should have been to me by now...

I like the guy I delt with as a guy, But I'm not going to go back for another car....

Anyone want to take this one off my hands? I'd like to order me a new one, the way I want it....23,500$ and it's yours....
