Injen CAI poll
This poll is for those with the Injen CAI, I am leaning towards getting this CAI but i want to be 100% sure it doesnt throw a CEL. Thanks for those that vote or post thoughts on this

Blown-4-banger This is for the 2.2 and 2.4 guys b/c they share the same intake set-up; initially K&N didn't even have an intake kit for our cars but I think they are now working on one.
WSFrazier, it would get really tiresome erasing the code repeatedly.
I have a CEL b/c I need a new gas cap. I know this b/c my car is always saying CHECK GAS CAP. I have had my codes checked a few times and no other codes were present. I have my Ingen installed as a CAI. I'm not sure but I think I have only read where 1 person with a 2.2L threw a CEL with the Injen; not sure about the 2.4 guys.

Just to add my vote, I had a 2.4 before my 2.0. I also had the Injen CAI on it, never got a CEL and loved it. PpAzz1101 now has my old intake on his 2.4 and he doesnt get a CEL either. IMO the injen is the best intake for the 2.2/2.4.
I now have an Injen on my 2.0 and also love it. No CEL, sounds great. Again I think injen is the best so for the 2.0 as well.

Is he not talking about the 2.0? His sig says he has a 2.0. His name says he has a 2.0. He is talking about the Inejn throwing a CEL which is usually for the 2.0. Plus he posted in the 2.0 section....
What makes you think he is talking about a 2.2/2.4?

^^^ 06lasersss/c was the one that started the thread, not CobaltCoupeCrazy, so I assume the poll is for the 2.0 people.
I've had my Injen on for at least 6k miles (got it in Dec '05), it annoyingly pushes the bumper out (old design), but I've never had a CEL from it. I've only got a CEL once in the 14 months I've owned this car (long before the CAI) and the code cleared when my car stalled entering (or should I say limped into) the service bay of my dealer, never found out what the code was.
Just be aware that the newest design of the Injen has what looks like a huge dent in the top of it to help it clear the hood bracket, kind of cheesy looking if you ask me, probably why I haven't exchanged my poorly fitting pipe for the newer better fitting design yet.
