K, no reason to really have a video, but after 2 years of owning a Digital Camcorder, i ordered a firewire cable, got it today, and now have a use for the cam. lol.

Anyways.. I was just driving down the road yesterday, then all of a sudden the exhaust got louder.. Its leaking from somewhere, but its the weekend coming up so theres no way it will make it in to the dealership. Just curious if this has happened to anyone else?

I thought maybe it was the rubber gromet behind the pedals, as that has happened before, but it is secure.. With the windows up and sunroof closed it is fairly loud and annoying in the cabin. It takes away from the whine. haha

I went under the car and all that jazz just sorta looking for something out of the ordinary, but didnt really see anything. One thing I did notice is that it seems to only be boosting at about 80 KPA now where as it used to get to 90. Also the exhaust tip seems to be shaking a fair bit.. Nothing crazy mind u, but defintally noticable!

Anyways, heres the vid, I made it the highest quality I could, any lower and the "leak" wasnt as noticeable.

You don't need to take your car to the dealership...take it to any shop that does exhaust work. They'll put it on the lift and look for holes.

What you can do is start your car and put your head towards the exhaust system so you can hear where it's coming from, usually you can tell that way.

 

It might sound good in the vid, but definitally not in person.

 

and buddy and I just looked underneath the car.. sounds like its coming from the manifold.. Gotta wait till wednesday I guess, since thats when the appointment is!

Well took the car in and they said they couldnt find anything wrong with it. I just laughed, cuz I knew it was leaking. But whatever. It was friday, and I didnt want a rental for the long weekend.

Well over the long weekend it got really bad.. So bad I dont want to drive it!!
