Chip?

I was looking on e-bay and saw this chip for 05-06 Cobalts. $19.99 for 30-40 hp? Anyone heard of this company?

I heard something about this thing a while back. Heard it was a huge scam. Plus some of the "benefits they list are impossible to acheive through a chip: like increasing spark... how the f*&% is a chip supposed to make your spark plugs fire better?

All this "chip" does is fool the computer into thinking the incoming air temperature is colder than it really is and as a result, more fuel gets dumped in.

Back in the early days of Jbody mods, the intake air temperature sensor was rerouted to the front of the car which accomplished the same thing.

For the record, neither one is worth the time doing as you really gain nothing except for carbon fouling your plugs.

It's a 25 cent resistor from radio shack man... don't waste your money on it. The only thing it does is make you run rich... which isn't particularly good.
