I saw that car on The Speed channel. They said that they are a 13 inch kit and that they are made... So I assume so. Keep in mind that is a 2.2L and not an SS.

keep us informed please i might not buy rims if they are going to be making those, b/c i see the ssbc big brake kit as a waist it has the same amount of pistons as our stock ones two in the front one in the back, why even buy them u'd be better off buying powerslots and ebc's.

you might have to buy aftermarket rims that will clear the BBK.

The stock brakes seem a little underpowered, and especially undersize on the rear. .55 inches thick compared to a full inch or better from a replacement kit.

The response I just got from Wilwood Engineering

Jason,

Thank you for your inquiry to Wilwood Engineering. We haven't had a big demand on this vehicle yet. To be honest, you are the first to inquire about a brake kit for the Cobalt. Without a demand on it, there's basically nothing we can do. There are two (2) companies that might be able to help you out. Here is there information:

TCE Performance Products
Tel: 480-967-7901
www.tceperformanceproducts.com
Email: toddandchris1@***.net

Precision Brakes
Tel: 541-488-2604
www.precisionbrakes.com
Email: daryl@precisionbrakescompany.com

If you have anymore questions, please feel free to contact us or simply reply.

Thank you,
Tarrant

HI I own a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged and was curious if
you thought that your company may produce a kit for my car soon?

ssbc sucks im my opinion , and i dont like the way they look either

wilwood , baer , rotora , brembo , pbr , those are have nice looking calipers

and the sloted rotors are the only way they come , atleast the others you have a little choice

ive used drilled rotors for years with no problems , materials now are better from the days they used to crack , better care in most companies also help

in severe use cases they will still crack , but usually at the point you need to replace them any way

flood gravana tuning , turbo tech , all the vendors here , as well as wilwood them selves , i know several people have asked them about the cobalts
