problems!! but my SS is here!!!
Needless to say, I'm excited but a little pissed at the same time!! My SS just showed up at the dealer. But there is a problem!! There are 3 rims chrome and 1 rim smoke color!! How could this pass quality control??? I'm going to look at the car in 1 hour. I'll let ya know what they say!!

Seriously though... weird... which chrome rims??? this is an SS right? if they are the upgrade chrome ones somehwo... IDK how but if they are tell them you want the 4th chrome not the other 3 stock

Yes this is an SS. And its the 18" rims. Was at the dealer, 1 rim is smokey in color, maybe pewter? The other 3 are the same rim just they have more of a polished look, more shiney but not chrome as the dealer had said over the phone. Still no answers as of yet. But I did make a complaint to customer service. Hopefully have some anwsers before tomorrow!!???

hey Zinner and guys, I don't have a digital cam. the best i can describe it is, 1 rim is exatly the same as yours(Zinner), smokey(pewter or gun metal) and the other 3 are the same stlye but they are brighter and more polished!! if anyone has camera the car is in cambridge, ontario........or feel to send me private msg and I'll tell ya where the car is

Mustangs suffered quaility control issues also. My 2003 came with a nice messed up front bumper cover and different side scoops.
Some Mustangs even came out with different sail panel windows, the GT window was different than a Mach1. Some GT's and Cobras had a Mach1 on one side.

This is the anwser I got today. They have no idea why the 3 rims are brighter and more silver in color. But the darker one is the ones that are suppose to be on the car. They said possibly they were faulty and someone didn't notice the color of them. That's all I have!! Anyway the new rims are here already and I'll pick up the car on the 26th.

The rims on my SS the front 2 look darker than the 2 rims on the rear...yea it sounds funny its a VERY slight difference but if you look at it long enough you can tell...I noticed it first in the showroom but I thought it was just the lighting...I thought it was brake dust on the front 2 but even with cleaning them they still look darker in the front..weird....

3 of my wheels are fine, the 4th has a lousy paint job on it, some drips along the edges. I've already got my SS going back on Friday for some other things (2nd gear pops out every now and then and a rattle in the trunk). Guess I'll add that to the list.

My wheels all look the same.
I have a funny story about a rattle. So I hit a speed bump at work and I hear a rattle. I don't think anything it until I drive home and every little bump is a rattle thats pretty loud. It's coming from the dash. Anyhow I am super annoying that at 3400 miles it's rattling already. So I am about to rip open the dash and figure it out, until I take out my GPS (to use on my vfr) and drive the car again and no rattle. Turns out the rattle is my GPS mount
At any rate I have no rattles yet and my car doesn't pop outta gear in any gear. Just figure I should post to let ppl know someone doesn't have a problem car (yet, knock on wood).

There seems to be 2 different ones.
A silver ss/sc arrived before mine did. I went and looked at it. The rims were more polished than the standard ss/sc rims. I did notice the difference. Mine are the darker ones like Zinner's. Interesting.

My door was making a large click sound when I opened and closed it on my SS/SC.
Turns out the 2 nuts were loose on one of the door hinging parts. Check it out on some of yours guys. My passenger side.
