I'd like to have the "shiny" rims. I'm in Waterloo, but I haven't seen my SS yet, but hopefully in a few weeks; was scheduled for a May 8 week build.

hey zinner does the rattle come from the right side of the dash like on the side in the area around the heat/cool control knob? f you press on the trim it stops then it starts back up again!

Sudicky, my car was scheduled to build week of May 9th and was built on the 10th. They had it here at the dealer in 4 days on the 14th. My dealer says he doesn't even know how to order the "shiny" rims. He could only get me 4 of the smokey ones. I asked for the shiny when I seen them but both are nice. There's 2 SS's in guelph, 1 black on black with "shiny" rims and right beside it is an SS in yellow with yellow inserts with the smokey rims. In my opinion the yellow is sweet and a little nicer then the black. That's all I got for now.

I was under the impression all of the rims were a 'smokey' colour. Maybe it's a quality issue that no one has really paid attention to.
Try going to the parts dept and have the guy look up rims for the car and see if there is an option for the finish.

I don't really understand why there are two different rims(shiny and smokey) and who is deciding on what's going to go on your car(the dealer or GM). Sounds like nobody knows. Or are there different shades because of different lot #s? I hope, when my car shows up, I'm going to like what I get!!!

Yours was a very quick delivery considering ours were built during the same week. My dealer phoned and indicated mine should arrive next week. Unfortunately, I am leaving for Europe this Saturday for two weeks, so I'll have to wait until my return to see what sort of rims it has. I would be satisfied with either style (my M3 has a slight "smokey" finish on the wheels), but do prefer the shiny ones on the SS.

Sudicky, I called customer service everyweek(sometimes twice) for 2 months asking about my car. I think they delivered it asap to shut me up(ha ha). They even called me when it was in transit and told me where it was? I'd like to take a look at your redSS when it comes in. I'm curious to see which rims you have too? Are you getting yours from the dealership on weber in Waterloo? I'll keep my eye out for it! Mine's sitting on 24 in cambridge at Bennett. I'm picking it up tomorrow(26th). Hopefully with all the same color rims??? Whatever shade the are??? Have a safe trip oversea!!

Yes, from the dealership on Weber St. It's the first one they are receiving. They said they'd keep it in the show room until I return, so feel free to have a look.
