lowering problems

I really want to lower my car with sportlines... But i'm concerned after reading a few posts of people having problems with there car after lowering. Such as there car making funny click sounds and what not. Who has lowered there car and has had problems?

If you do everything properly and to spec, you won't have any problems

The clicking sound you are refering to, is just the strut decommpressing because it doesnt have as far to travel

how come some people on this thread are experiencing vibration or a shutter when accelerating with these springs installed?

Question

I've had the same problem with the sportlines. When I turn it sounds like the springs are binding up, but i've also noticed that same sound once in a while when I hit a small bump in the front and rear. Not sure what to do, I follow directions word for word and installed numerous springs with no problems.

I have heard most people (SS/SC) are doing well on sportlines,

Depending on what trim level you have your struts may be more or less able
to cope with the additional stress of lowering.

fully adjustable coilovers will always be the safest and most reliable way to lower

but be prepared to drop a grand before installation depending on brand.

I know there are a couple out already, but I expect more in the following months.

I believe Koni has a full coilover due out soon, anybody?

Did you cut the bump stops? My Sportlines are fine. Ride quality is amazing and so is the handling.

Are they loud pops and clicks? Do you think it's damaging anything? Also how is it when your driving, do you get any vibrations when accelerating?

The only problem I have is my aftermarket exhaust hits the stock rear sway bar when I hit bumps but I found out that the guys at the shop let a mount off of it so I am going to have them put it on and really pull it up and away from the bar.

Lowered my SS\SC yesterday with Sportlines and not one sound. Today I beat the hell out of the car just to see if any noises would pop up, nothing. I'm actually shock on how well the ride is with the new springs.
