Exclamation 2006 Cobalt SS - Sunroof Problems

So Last night I was coming home. i get home from a long day at work, and i shut my sun roof. i hear a clunk noise. i didnt even think about it.

today, i was driving to my house with my girlfriend, and i had to do some business over the phone. i asked her to shut the sun roof for me. she did. i heard the same CLUNK.

ok..so i was listening and i was still hearing air. so i take it to the dealership that i bought it from.

i pull into the service bay. and i looked. the (if your staring at it from the front of the car) left side of my sun roof doesnt shut.

just curious if this has happened to anybody else.

Happened to me with my CRX, usually it happens when people open and shut it all the time. SUnroofs though IMO are a waste. If you want air and sun buy T-tops or a vert. But then again that's not always an option. If you can dissassemble the switch to your sunroof and check the connections. Then put dri slide on the sunroof rails and moving parts.

i hate sunroofs...which is why i rarely use mine but replace them constantly. many times the cables with jump a few teeth on the cables. open the sunroof all the way, start to close it watching its alignment. 99 percent of the time the clunk its misalignment of the cables. 1% is from the wind deflector breaking.

all they would have to do is drop the motor down, aline both sides and reattach the motor.
